About Lily

Graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 2025 with a degree in Painting BA(Hons), Lily has continued painting her small narrative oil paintings in the studio, taking inspiration from the city around her. Her life in Edinburgh provides her with quiet moments in the city, that she can pull from to produce paintings of places and instances real and imaginary.

Centred on her own experience of the world, Lily considers moments from her everyday life, rejecting the chronic overwhelm felt by constant news and social media, she focuses on her own memories and narratives which celebrate softness, slowness and domesticity. Central to her process is the sourcing of imagery, through sketching, writing and photographing.
